Brighton: Daddy, what objects in the yard to you not care if I shoot them with a flamethrower?
Bo: Wh-what!?!? None of them. Flamethrowers are very dangerous.
Brighton: Well, I'll just just shoot the tops off so they won't burn too much.
Bo: I don't want you shooting anything with a flamethrower!
Brighton: Where can we buy a flamethrower? Do I have enough money?
Bo: I'm pretty sure you cannot buy one anywhere. It's a war thing. It's bad.
Brighton: Daaaarn, where can I get a flamethrower? Oh, maybe I can use Felix's.

[in fact, the conversation went on much longer than this. I'm worried.]

7th Birthday Party

For my birthday wish, I wish you could all be in my family.

Bad Dangerous Robot Attack

I will make a bad dangerous robot and when I remote control it, it will attack Daddy. Bwahahahahahaha!

Her name is "Cutie"

[Florence:] Brighton and Annecy came to Aiden's class to drop him off this morning and Annecy started some art project right away....So while I'm putting Aiden's things in his cubby and signing him in, she is stamping away with paint....I turn to finally take her and Brighton away and notice that on the bottom of her paper it says: "cutie".
So I ask the boys who wrote this and laugh. They tell me "Teacher Ian did that". Teacher Ian comes up to me and tells me that he asked Brighton what her name was so he could write it on her work. Brighton told him her name was "cutie". Ian thought maybe he meant "Judy" and tried that. No, said Brighton, her name is "not Judy! Cutie!" Teacher Ian then also asks Aiden and he of course replies that indeed her name is "cutie". I had to really laugh loud then and could just imagine the boys saying this.
A few days ago, Brighton told me when I called Annecy's name that "her name is Cutie! Her second name is Annecy, so you have to call her "cutie"!
And yes, Annecy responds to the name "cutie" and runs around saying it too.

I want to grow food in our yard because I want this to be a farm. Momma can be the cow!

Get your chicks on route 66...

After the cars movie, Brighton sings: "Get your chicks on route 66..." Florence tried to tell him it is kicks, but he says no, it is "chicks"

Growing down

Brighton wanted to go to Annecy's gymclass today. Florence told him that it really is just for babies and since he's growing up, he has his own gymnastics class.
Brighton responded, "Well, I'm growing down."
